In their first game without Bill 'The Womanizer' Kardine, the Bears got 3 solid innings from new father Ryan Speelman and 4 strong innings from Jason Badgely, as they cruised past the Stallions 13-4 to open the season with a win. New players Ron Braden, DJ Lane, and Brian Amanatullah all contributed at the plate and in the field. Matt Lane closed the game for the Bears, nearly giving up a moon shot to Ed Pearson in the process.
