Despite fielding a special Father's Day lineup, the Bears were edged by the Bombers' stout defense and timely hitting. The Bears had their Dad-sticks working in the first inning, but struggled to produce offense after that. Ron Braden, the lone exception, had 2 hard singles down the line (that maybe should have been stretched to doubles).
For the Bombers, Honegger, Estrada, and Andrews combined to hold the Bears to just 4 runs. Andrews also scored the winning run after tripling deeeeeep into right field in the 6th inning. The Bombers' 1-4 hitters were a combined 8-13 with 1 walk, 2 doubles, 4 runs, and 3 RBIs. But none of them are fathers.

Of note:
- The Bears field the most fathers in the league, with 6.
- They are: Speelman (2), Wolcott (1.5), Balding (1), Josephson (2), Starnes (1), and Braden (3 and 3 grandchildren)
- Bill Kardine, father to William Ellis Kardine, would have been the 7th father Bear. Yes that is his son's name.
- The Lane Bros went hitless for the first time this season.
- Paul Chow, world traveler, made his triumphant return for the Bears this week.
