Bombers, Bears advance

The Bombers beat the Breakers 10-2, blowing the game open in the bottom of the sixth.  Andy Yurko gave the Breakers a strong start, but they could not overcome the Bombers' suffocating D and timely hitting.

After exchanging blows for the first 4 innings, the Bears were able to permanently take the lead over the Stallions in the 5th, and would go on to win 16-6.  Jason Badgely scored a couple runs and pitched 5 strong innings for the Bears.  He was adequately trampled in the 3th inning, as the Stallions put up 5 runs, due in large part to drives off the bats of Pearson, Moon, and Ferguson.  However, Badgely recovered and pitched scoreless ball for the next two innings.  Coach Sutherland made the play of the year in right field, fully laying-out to catch a potential inside-park-home-run.  It was glorious.

The Bears and Bombers will meet for the third (?) time for the BCBL Championship.
