Bombers Drop Ordinance on Bears, Win Ypma Cup

The Bombers denied the Bears a 5th straight championship, as they held on to win the Ypma Cup 4-3.  Adam Honegger, the 2014 league MVP, held the Bears to just 1 run over 4 innings.  Rookie sensation and Ypma Cup MVP Sam Andrews hit a 3 RBI double and earned the save, allowing 2 runs in the final 3 innings.  John White was loud, the rest of the team was stoic, and the Bomber's defense played strongly behind Andrews and Honegger.

The Bears struck first, but their rally was limited as the umpire incorrectly called Sutherland out.  This had major ramifications, as Sutherland was surely going to hit the next pitch out for a homerun.  The Bombers then scored 4 in the 3rd, 3 of which came on Andrews' bases-loaded double to the center-field fence.

The Bears would rally, however, as Jason Badgely hit a homerun to dead-center to lead off the 7th inning.  The Bears tacked on one more run in the inning, but ended the game with the tying run at second.

Despite pitching a solid complete game and going 3-3 with a double and a homerun, Badgley cursed the Bears by finally showing up to a Championship game.  The Bears had won 4 championships in a row without Badgley, but are now 0-1 with him there.
