Hello players, a new season is upon us and the first order of business is Election of new Officers.
The Nomination period will end March 9th, and the election will take place via email over the following week.
2016 Officer Positions
President - Must be a 2015 BCBL Board Member
- Oversees league operations
- Coordinates scheduling with outside entities
Commissioner - Must be a Northrup Grumman employee
- Acts as direct POC for league or player issues
- Maintains league rules/regulations
Treasurer - MUST be a Northrup Grumman employee
- Maintains budget
- Coordinates reimbursement
Communications Officer - NG Employee preferred
- Updates social media
- Advertises the league to increase participation
- Coordinates community outreach and volunteer opportunities
Tournament Coordinator
- Assembles a travelling team to play other leagues or in NABA tournaments
- Performs or delegates travelling team manager responsibilities
Operations Manager
- Purchases, inventories and maintains league-owned equipment
Statistician
- Collects and compiles official league stats
Send me an email if you would like to participate in the BCBL board elections. Be sure to include your name and the position(s) you would like to be considered for.
You may also nominate one of your fellow club members if you think they would be well suited to the position. If they accept the nomination, they will be included in the final ballot.
Serving as an Officer is a great way to get involved in our club, to let your voice be heard, and to serve your fellow members and community.
